So as I often do, I was warming up on your server. Into the 1st full map I noticed that something was odd - every time I was killed by a certain person, he was just crouched in spawn spamming his weapon towards our spawn. He was getting 20 kills before most players were at 7 or 8 & by the time he'd get to 40, maybe 2 or 3 were at 20. And he'd still spend 90% of his time crouched in his spawn spamming in 1 general direction.
When I noticed that an admin was on, I said something. And the immediate response was basically (not word-for-word) "he's not hacking" & something to the effect that I didn't know what I was talking about, I suck, etc.
So I calmly asked the admin what his exp was & after a very brief discussion, I just dropped it & continued to warm-up. I barely said anything for the remainder of the map or the next full map, finished it at the top of my team (the hacker had left) & then left & went to 5v5.
Today I go to warm-up & I'm perma banned. The reasons given: "Spamming mic/chat, player disrespect, ignoring admins". All are false. I wasn't micspamming, I didn't disrespect anyone & I didn't ignore the admin.
If anyone has a problem when I say something like "Thanks for crouching, it makes me hs u easier, " maybe they should learn how to play the game. And in fact, it was either yesterday or the day before when I spoke directly to a player because it appeared that he was new & explained that crouching is a very bad habit & he should practice strafing, aiming for heads, etc. I wasn't sarcastic or malicious & if someone's feelings get hurt by that, he or she probably shouldn't play a game where the goal is to kill people.
Let me also state that I play css & 1.6 off & on but I've been pretty steady for ~ 2years. Before that I was off for a couple of years but prior to that I was a regular on AppState & WCU's 1.6 servers (when AppState was rated the #1 1.6 server). And on both servers, I was asked to be an admin - b/c of the fact that I was good at spotting hackers. But I trurned it down b/c when I get busy at work I cant play for months at a time.
And you can't check my orig steamid b/c I had to move to India for work & it got hijacked but on 1.6 I was on the last season of cal-im (when every im team was better than every main team). But feel free to check this one - last summer I was on a cevo-p team. I'm not very good competitively but I enjoy playing & I do kinda know what I'm talking about, not always, but usually.
Also, I'd like to point out that admins should not be complacent w/ the attitude that "he's a regular, he doesn't hack". On AppState we caught a multiple season cal-i player wallhacking, who had been a reg on that pub server for 3 years; after last season, ESEA banned several invite players & some had been ESEA-invite for 6 or 7 seasons.
I enjoy your servers for warming-up. So i would hope that this appeal is taken seriously & I'm allowed back. Thank you.
