Hello gun game addicts. My real name is Jeremy, and I have played CS:S since it came out, and original CS since 1.3. I took a 7 year hiatus until COVID forced me to buy a new PC since I am now working from home. I immediately downloaded Source and noticed the DoGz server was still up and running. I am now hooked back on this damn game. I have played with most everyone on the server, and when I eventually get good internet, I will actually start winning more.
Welcome to the forums Porkchop! Glad to see you on. I was somewhat on the same page as you regarding the purchase of a new laptop. My old laptop was so old that it had a built in NIC card that would only go 100mbps even though my internet is capable of going up to 400mbps. It was so slow that I would wait just to get into yahoo after a minute or so lol. I ended up buying a new gaming laptop with a built in NIC card of 1000mbps. My game playing in the last few months has improved tremendously and I can finally play CSGO which my old laptop could not handle the graphics. I feel your pain on the internet speed.
