Sounds fun. Aside from the potential for small children being blown up. They seriously should have at least checked the area before clearing it for children to play in...

The land was probably cleared years ago and there hasn't been an issue since so no one thought it'd be that way today.

Like I said, not too uncommon to find still active ordnance all over Europe to this day.

In this case it was certainly a "whaaaaaat?" kind of situation
