I currently use a Focus FK-8000 mechanical keyboard which I bought from a Savers Donation Center near my house for $3. The letters, o, a, d many times stop working and I get shot in front of 10 people. The keyboard was in excellent shape, like never used.
I am currently looking for a new one and if you have any recommendations on what keyboard is the best for gaming (preferably for CSS) I would appreciate the feedback.
This is what I had in mind http://www.newegg...6823201045
I tend not to use the rubber dome keyboards, because the keys are too hard to press and they do not last very long and hurt my CSS performance greatly.

I've found that when it comes to keyboards, it's best to really have them in front of you. I've seen some really crappy keyboards that look good with great reviews, but the moment you start playing with them you realize you have to punch down hard on the keys, etc.
Hence that's why I end up getting them at Wal-mart or some other place so that I can find out right away. If you have a good PC place nearby take a gander and try them out there.

exactly
Its always better to have it in front of you to get a feel for it. Even the best detailed reviews on the internet aren't gonna be able to tell you how it feels or sounds. Personally I have a razer lycosa. Not bad, but not the best in the world either. |

Right now I have a logitech G510, and it's great. It's a little overkill if you're just using it for CS:S because of all the macro keys and such. I had a Razer Lycosa; but it only lasted a few months, and I found that when dealing with Razer, their products are overpriced compared to their quality. These are just personal opinions though.
Just remember whatever you pick, price does not always reflect quality. |
