SO! I notice the new update is up and running! Aside from taking away my cutomized menu background and replacing it with the new default, I see no difference. Though the server select menu is kinda neat. It's kinda blatent that they ripped it straight from Team Fortress 2... like to the point of no additional imagination... but what can ya do. For some reason, though, I can't find the Dogz Servers as my favorites have been wiped and it's no where to be seen in my history.
Can't wait to see what they've done in game. I notice the default tick rate is now 66 rather then the standard 33. That should make it nice and cheap for anyone who pays to run the server! Other then that, it's going to be cool to have Achievements like Xbox, and from what I can see... a cinimatic Kill Cam like MW2 along with.... Revenge and Domination bonuses... "Death and Killstreaks"?

About the 33 to 66 tickrate thing, thats also a downgrade for anybody running 100 TR servers, as 100 TR is no longer supported, I think... |

The Squishing noise, the death cam, the server selection menue, the addition of pictures to chat and scoreboard, and... pretty much EVERYTHING that was added or changed with this update, after playing with it all yesterday, I found to be completely stupid and or useless. none of it is necessary and I can't wait for someone to make a mod to put servers back to the old way.

I'm not getting connection lag, my ping is normal, but my game is choppy as hell. |

Well you're already at a high enough ping due to your rather inconvenient location in the world, so the lag that this new update causes takes a bigger effect on you. I notice my ping is anywhere between 30-40 higher then normal. I was almost in the 100s today |

I dont mind the update so much... its kinda like when steam came out we all thought what kind of bs is this....or when source came out we all were wondering who was gunna play that shit.... that said i dont think any of you wine asses have played nething but source. The game has been around since 99 yes they are gunna update it and ppl are bitching yet you all still play it

we are using 66 tic as opposed to 100.
i am under the impression we can use a 100k rate. are updaterate and cdmrates the same? |

It is a fixed updaterate and cmdrate. The server forces your rates to 66 tic. |
