why does the deathmatch server lag at night terrible, but all day with 26/26 its fine? |

Maybe your internet lags at night. Our server runs quite low cpu usage all the time and we only use 10-15% of our available connection speed. |

ya maybe i dont understand. a lot of people complain about it at night. everyone is skipping all over etc. idk just was wondering if there was a reason. i normally download at 14megs minimum and upload at 5 |

"everyone is skipping all over etc" must be on your side because I play in the server all the way from Canada and don't see any people skipping.
Occasionally there is a player with a very bad connection who might skip around the map a bit, but certainly all the players in the server do not skip.
Also, download speed is not always related to having a good connection. I can download at 10 megs from a server in china where I get 500 ping. Doesn't mean I have a good, lossless connection to the server.

ya im in chicago. tonight it hasnt been bad it was the last 2 days. idk maybe it is my internet. never had a problem before but ill look into it. |

Or Valve writes some better netcode in the new CSS.
Try typing "tracert 69.162.97.18" in your command prompt. See how many hops you have to get to our server. Shouldn't be that many, I only have 5, but if you are unlucky it can be more than 10. If any of the servers on the way to ours gets busy, it will affect your connection.

where is the server?
i know like dallas and chicago servers my ping is always 20 or so. but its always around 60 in yours |

I've got 11 from California. Hey Tiger, is there a way to possibly reconfigure something from my end? I mean I know I have a 11 connections, there a way to make fewer hops, or is it totally out of my hands? |

i got 14 from NEWWW YORRRRK!!!
ive noticed that the tic rate changing has altered my gaming experience...i have heard there is a 100 tic mod...not sure if there is any truth to that? |

there is a 100tic mod, however at the end of the day it's just a mod.
we're holding off on putting it on our server for the time being to see just how stable it really is.
