HELP!!!!

i just reformated my hard drive and i was told to install all the drivers i did than i restarted my comp now my mouse and keyboard dont work and i think non of the USB plugs work. what do i do?

motherboard drivers / chipset drivers. its pretty common if you lok at your hardware screen these items should be flagged with friendly little yellow exclamation marks in triangles. simply find your chipset drivers either disk or online. |

Also, insure you plugged the usb cable connection back in on your mother board, its pretty easy to forget this.

lol red.....but yea, you probably have to reinstall all your drivers and such...pretty simple. |

time to dig out your old keyboard and mouse with the ps2 port lol. Or use someone elses computer to burn the usb drivers to a disc. |

Try plugging your mouse in a different USB port. I have 4 on the back of my machine and 2 in front and on my comp if I do not plug my mouse into the USB port I originally used to install it my mouse will not work. Keep moving your mouse around till you have tested it in all your USB ports. If this does not work, I still suggest opening up you case and double checking the USB connections have been made.

my suggestion is if you have tried 5-10 times and nothing....
i think buying a new computer is in order

I would try reinstalling the drivers, unplugging and replugging in the mouse & keyboard, ooorr, if they're USB, and you have USB things in the front AND back of your computer (like I do) make sure you're plugging them in to the USB drives that are turned on. I used to have the same problem, but it was 'cause I was using the disabled ones.

yea, best you find an old keyboard and mouse that dont use USB or buy an adapter from radio shack. Then just reinstall your USB drivers. Good luck!
