Stupid Question
The Deer Hunter
Hey I'm trying to make room on my laptop and i want to move some programs that i don't/never had disc's for for installation. i want to move these programs from my laptop to my external without them losing their functionality. How do I do this so that they are still operational?

I want to move Left 4 dead - downloaded from steam
and Adobe Audition - downloaded from the Adobe.
when there's nothing left to burn .... you must set yourself on fire.

wet socks
for left 4 dead, go to your c:/programfiles/steam/steamapps/(your user name)
and you should see a folder called "Left 4 Dead". copy that folder to you external hard drive. You could also just copy the entire steam folder, but that might make any extensions corrupted.

for Adobe Audition, (i don't have this, so this might not be right...) Go to your
c:/programfiles/adobe and copy the entire adobe folder onto your external hard drive.

That's what I think you have to do to complete this.

BTW: I study and modify games and programs, so I think that is how you do that.Pfft
