I and Tiger are looking into more quality servers for our clan. We have had a small breakthough and have been having discussions if we were able to expand our servers. One thing both of us have discussed and brainstormed about is maybe setting up another server with one of steams other game options... TF2, Call of Duty, Left for Dead..... or one of the others. We both agree, a branch out would be a good thing. This would be one server for right now and the rest would still be CS. Your thoughts please. And please stick to the subject in your responses.

If we're falling short on server donations as it is how will we be able to fund it?
I'd love to donate but I honestly can't afford it, I'm trying to get out of this shithole my parents call a house and it's not easy. |

a branch out would be good to broaden the dogz clan and generate more traffic but, are we loosing our CS roots! i joined your clan to play CS. tough times call for different measures but playing L4D as a dogz seems strange! |

I know I'll keep playing CS, but I think having another type of game might be a good idea. If we can generate more traffic and raise more funds, that may be the way to go. |

Thank you John. That's part of the thinking. The other part is this, yes DoGz is a CS clan, but we are an ever evolving and changing clan. There are many in our clan that play other steam games other than CS. With that knowledge, why not be able to carry your tag over to another game and have clan members you'd be able to participate with and against? Form aliances with other players and expand our gaming base? There are better newer games being released.... why not lure those players to CS by meeting them in a different game? The options and possibilities are endless. Besides........ IF we do this dedicated server idea... our CS server offerings would grow to 4 including our TWL server. The more we expand our offerings, the more options for new members and donations.
New days gentlemen.... I'd love to get there..... What I need from our members is ideas as to what game we should make ONE server.... and go from there.....

I think it's a good idea I'm just worried about the funding.

I understand. It would only be a fifty dollar increase in our donations... which in and of itself isnt' much..... but... we'll see.... We're looking at all the possibilities.

TF2 would be my personal vote however in terms of attracting more people L4D, I think, is the obvious choice. |

L4D....really?
TF2 has way more players, and is better established for competitions.
L4D is growing fast, but I'm not sure if it has the longevity that TF2 does.
**
YES I'M TOTALLY BIAS. I was in a TF2 clan and have competed. I love it, so I will try my best to push it. I think most of you don't even play tf2, so it could very well be a L4D or COD4 server.
TF2 is %50 off right now. So BUY IT!

Ummm yeah I own tf2 but veryyy seldom play it..
I'd rather see a tf2 server than an l4d one. |

From my understanding L4D limits players to a very small number. I would go TF2. I like playing COD4, but people are not talkative on it they mainly type. I think if you want to draw a cross section of patrons TF2 would be the way to go.
Where's BOB??????

I will one day here get a new tower, until then I cant play the newer games well. I almost wondered about bringing old games to draw veteran players, like a retro style server, old quake, unreal, etc. But I agree that times change and things have to move on. I would look into the popularity of games and use that for some decesion making.
I do 2'nd Badseeds comment about this being a CSS clan and home, but as stated, that should remain, hopefully for awhile, thats why I'm here.
Another thing, as far as donations go, the DM server is heavy, it draws alot of ppl and maybe forming some tourneys, or something to draw interest in being in the clan for DM only may draw more members from that area and to donate.
My thoughts
