This one is the AMD route, although not quite as powerful. I built this one for my buddy, started out with 4gb and expandable to 8, because it was a major budget build.

This uses AMD's integrated APU setup, and gets a massive set of scores on the win7 exp index, and whether or not you care for that bench, it had uncharacteristically high scores for the price of this hardware.

This runs diablo 3, cs:go, and will be running sc2 next time it shows up at my house for a lan. I think it can max out cs:go, i wouldn't expect more than 30fps, but realistically, you won't be able to tell the difference between 30 and 50 unless you're an a/v engineer anyways.

This system was designed for 5 years, with the exception of it may need that other stick of ram, and will need a better video card before then.

EDIT: that hard drive was like 90$ or something stupid when i built this, this rig could probably be built for much cheaper than the price listed there now.

Unless you plan on overclocking (just make it easy and don't) you should be fine with a stock CPU fan. My last 3 builds have used the CPU fan that came with the CPU and temperatures have been well within range and just fine.

That amd chip actually didn't come with a stock cooler, it was rather upsetting

Ok... so Rampage has said at least twice that he doesn't have alot of money. So here's the deal. Rampage, I don't know where you live, but if you have a good computer store you can get to, here's what I did.

I used an existing tower, pulled the antiquated board took it down to my place here, Frys Electronics, they have Mother boards with processors ready to buy. Bought a similar sized Mother board with some expandibility and built my system from there. I put together a quad core AMD motherboard, with a 2 gigi video card, new updated power supply and 8 gigs of ram for about 250 bucks.

AMD is always going to be less expensive, but honestly it really gives you the best bang for your buck. While Intel is great, you pay top dollor for alot of their stuff because of the neme, not the performance.

Lastly, it will probably take you a couple weeks to figure out what you can put together, don't rush into the decisions right awasy as sometimes a sale will pop up and you can get a better part for the same amount you'd pay for something middle of the road.

Good Luck,

Scooby

Always the best bang for buck, patience...

I told him to buy things on sale but hes set on a 1 month build... I bought my stuff over a 4-5 month period and at the end, $350 ... (craigslist/newegg deals) with a hdd laying around...

None the less benchmarks are what to look at to compare for what you want it to do, meet or exceed the goal and move on.
