That's some pretty scary stuff I've heard about that proton smasher and what it could potentially do. The whole idea of it makes me a bit uncomfortable. I don't see risking the . . .world...for the sake of a science experiment as being a good idea. |

Meh if your talking about the black hole thing........ from what ive heard that was a rumor made up on the internet......but still.......its scary stuff o_o protons going @ nearly the speed of light D: and i dont think its worth it either |: |

I def think it's something to try out. If the big bang theory is correct, we will find so many discoveries. The grand Father particle, which may give mass to energy, tiny black holes which should fade out in seconds. These time lapse cameras are going to be a revelation to our exsistance. I just hope they don't fake the results like the trip to the moon which was done in a hollywood basement.

The gains could be phenomenal, but since I'm willing to bet the large majority of the world's population would agree with me it seems a bit crass to go ahead and decide some technological gains are worth...everything? How can we predict the black hole will lapse? Why wouldn't it grow and kill everything? The information does us no good if we're all dead! I'm frankly a little surprised though no world powers have stepped in if any of them thought the world was in danger, so it's prolly just nothing. A large population of scientists who study this stuff everyday > me. Just barely though. |
