I'll join the band wagon and say do a barebones kit from NewEgg or TigerDirect. I've used both sites to build numerous computers and order other electronics and never have had a single problem with them through the years. I prefer an Intel based system over AMD but to each their own I guess.

My strategy has always been buy every part individually on NewEgg... I find the top tier price, go down one level, and then find the best reviewed piece. And even when it is the best reviewed I purposely only read the bad reviews. Usually end up with a ~$1000 machine that destroys and doesn't require excessive research beyond compatibility.. |

Problem is ..I don't have that amount of money. I only play CS games, so i want something simple in the low's that'll run it on high with great fps, 50 or more. I assembled all the parts abom posted but to be honest.. I have no idea whether it'll do me good or not. |

Eh, if you're only rolling on newegg for individual parts you're not always going to get the best deal. I find Amazon to have better prices and free shipping about 75% of the time. Supersaver shipping on Newegg takes forever and a half too.

Hold the phone you are saying a 2gig video card is a joke? Vrs a 1gig video card? I'm curious how you came to that conclusion. As I have been working with computers and gaming nearly 11 years, Even though the nvidia is using a ddr3 vr board for memory on their video card the ddr5 on the amd is actually the same clock speed yet supports nothing over the nvidia. 810MHz Core Clock / 96 Processor Cores / DVI, VGA, HDMI / Super Alloy Power / Dust-Proof Fan / GPU Tweak / Support DirectX 11 & NVIDIA 3D Vision This would be the nvidia card. Oh and by the way the amd doesn't have dust proof fans so enjoy taking your video card out once in a while to get the dust unstuck from inside the fans blades. I will not tell you which card to get but I would tell you performance wise to get the amd would be a joke. As it is twice the cost and nowhere near the stats. If you are talking about your labtop's onboard intel hd graphics well you need to do some research. As onboard uses ram from your motherboard not deadicated ram sources. |

I agree herpes but yet sometimes people want parts to come together and ordering from one site vr 3 sites usually will come at or around the same time. And I only copied the build for a suggested idea as why I didn't post a link to the pc build. |

Ok... so Rampage has said at least twice that he doesn't have alot of money. So here's the deal. Rampage, I don't know where you live, but if you have a good computer store you can get to, here's what I did.
I used an existing tower, pulled the antiquated board took it down to my place here, Frys Electronics, they have Mother boards with processors ready to buy. Bought a similar sized Mother board with some expandibility and built my system from there. I put together a quad core AMD motherboard, with a 2 gigi video card, new updated power supply and 8 gigs of ram for about 250 bucks.
AMD is always going to be less expensive, but honestly it really gives you the best bang for your buck. While Intel is great, you pay top dollor for alot of their stuff because of the neme, not the performance.
Lastly, it will probably take you a couple weeks to figure out what you can put together, don't rush into the decisions right awasy as sometimes a sale will pop up and you can get a better part for the same amount you'd pay for something middle of the road.

I have a Newegg store close by and I have a dell tower, dimension E310. I did my research and i read that it isn't worth upgrading it, since it's too old. Sounds like a good idea but i'll probably take a few months to assemble it myself. |

I was talking about INTEL HD 2000. I have a laptop Intel Core i3-370m INTEL HD graphics with directX 11, which in my opinion sucks. I already have the parts assembled on newegg. |

In all honesty, you should really save up to get a badass setup. it's really not worth spending your 4-500 dollars looking for something that will just play cs:s or cs:go, especially if you're gonna upgrade again in the future.. a decent video card on its own will be at least 150 bucks, and unless you know how to take apart and piece together computers (which i dont, didn't feel like paying someone to do it either) then it will be pretty difficult to find a decent computer in that price range. We could find a computer with a decent video card, but most likely the rest of it will be shit.. and you can upgrade that in the future.

Rampage, all the tower is, is the case to hold it. All the stuff inside, can go with the exception of any case fans. When you pull out the board all you have is the shell. None the less, the only other thing I forgot to mention is that I had to buy a processor cooling fan. It's all really basic assembly. The tower I was telling you about was my first time putting together a systme. It was actually really easy. |

I suggest you save up and get this or something similar. Realistically, this is the lowest power build you should be building if you expect to have a viable rig in 5 years.
656.43 for everything listed, salvage everything else thats not listed from your current computer. AKA, nothing else matters. Really, that case doesn't even matter, but it's so cheap, I couldn't help myself haha
Theres a single 8gb stick in there to allow for future expandability.

That hd 7770 appears to be pretty much garbage, might want to spend the extra 40$ and get a 560Ti, or maybe put up with integrated whatever until you can save up and get a 580 or equiv.
