why do dogz not allow lower admins ... i have played many nites with new recruits and we have had spammers, racist, and just blatanly rude behavior or mic spamming and no new dogz members can correct this problem. Are dogz new members allowed to mute, kick, remove, or abuse players that do not adhere to these rules. ive had members of dogz tell me they just leave when they have players on the server abuse the rights they have.
if the title DOGZ doesnt mean anything when you get it whats the point of becoming dogz? guild rules are the first thing read ...
then some dude comes in and types WHITE POWER and .... no members on can do anything. Why not? |

To All that read this,
First ANY level of admin is a privaledge not a right as a member, a donating member, a high paying regular. We as a CLAN have talked about this and have things settled among US LAST WEEK. We are working on a solution so DONT PUSH FOR ADMIN. IF you deserve it, it will be given to those who can be entrusted with it.
Reasons for Admin not given to ALL dogz members:
1. Admin is a privaledge not a right.
2. 3/4 of the people who want admin say 3/4 of the people who come in hack
3. Mic spamming is a personal level and Players can be muted by the individual Client NO ADMIN REQUIRED.
4. Have some typing slurs or degrading regs or members, type status in console get name and steam id and post in "Hacking" forum (will update to encompass more than just hacking) with a title that fits whats going on and we can look at the chat logs and add a ban out of game its not that difficult. (You may have to deal with a dumbass for a little while if u ignore what he/she is saying they WILL leave they only do shit like that to get a rise out of people AND 60% of you guys WILL give it to them)
SO Please just give us time to get things fixed and admin divied out to those whom we feel it deemed nessicary. This is a clan issue, that was settled privately Im here now after this post Settling it publicly so all will understand what and why we have what we have. Its not as easy as People on the out side may think. Easy looking from the outside in but its not near as easy as you may think.
On a personal note. I put alot more time into this clan than you may think. Im constantly thinking of ways to move the clan forward and keep everyone happy its somethign i work on while im at work. SO please be patient and let things happen in due course..

As Rich said, it's in the works.
I think this:
1: We will need a few more server admins, and it should be voted on by the higher ups.
2: The admins do not have to play all the time, just show that they are level headed and ready to take on that responsibility. Random player admins (people thet don?t play all the time) will add up and the coverage will be there once they are set in place.
3: Admin will have to be part of a group that meets and discusses issues, ideas, etc. A forum group, irc chat, whatever should be formed and have scheduled meetings.
I think (down the road) we are going to get this together. Some people will never be happy, never will be able to please all. I also think adding a few more site admins will help regulate the forums, take care of typical maint, etc.
I have been on a few forums over my time on the net (since about 1993) and I can see a whole lot of things that can be added to the forums. Not saying this is a bad one, it already looks better that any other gaming forum I have personally seen. I am more familiar with ?infopop? BB software, so I am not sure what can be added here. But any of you guys need help, just ask, I can research it or we can switch to infopop which I know has the power to run a lot of addons. Infopop is php based also, which most are now days, so transition should be smoothe.
I would like to see greamlins added, an admin forum (only see by admins) and there may be one already that I don't know about. Also tags can be added to names like "supporter" or "forum mod", many things can make this forum lite up like a bastad and make it fun to come here.
Already the games section is nice to see (good job Corex). I'm very impressed with the forum so far, but much more can come.
You are always going to have people fighting, so don't think that will ever go away. It will slowly stabilize over time, trust me. I have been admin on forums, and chat rooms, for years, and I know how it goes.
Down the road things will have to come to votes (with the upper powers) and people will have to get used to it. I just think that this server and place all together is under development and will take some time to recruit the right people.
In summary, I am saying that down the road the site will be much more easily maintained with the right added help. And like RC said it will take time. I can see this site growing to be one of the best, and sometimes the best has its worst bumps in the road.

what an admin section for server admins....that is silly waste of space. but if that is what you are talking about let me say it now. There is no need for that. If an server admin has something to say then that person can say it in the dogz members section.
We have a core admin section....that isn't hard to see....Corex, RC, Scooby, Shaggy, Slam. And that is fine by me.
And Im pretty sure a lot of what you have suggested goes on... admin meetings or postings. And as for server admins......if they aren't there alllll the time or some of the time what is the point of them having admin. I thought the reason people were wanting admin was because they think we dont have enough of them on the server.
To me it is like RC said that person will go away. Not saying what I was doing was right but I sat around and told everyone where Biocock was to try to get him to leave. But there was another dummy with a porn spray of a BJ but u dont see me wanting admin over it. I found him told him i was going to report him and he left.
And as I see it there wouldn't be fighting if we all played by the golden rule. DO UNTO OTHERS WHAT YOU WOULD WANT DONE TO YOU. Or personal favorite.....if you dont have something nice to say dont say it.
And Scooby rules....those pretty much say it all. I know i made a joke in the post but i asked him if it was ok. if he would have said no i wouldn't have posted....bc i have respect for others.
If a person ask you not to do something you should have respect for that person and not do it.

Well it has been explained multiple times how to deal with these situations yet people still don't do them and until people do I'm going to let it go one day people will learn the system aslong as the systemdoesnt change |

and its wasn't gay porn spray i saw...its just a guy holding his dick. not sure what u saw. he does it for reaction. make their life unhappy...the other people start to join in after they died telling everyone where he was. they want attention they want to be talked about cuz they have NO LIFE. There are people out there that get their jollies from that stuff. And if that is all you have seen in your life is a pic of something then count yourself lucky.
They wont stop hint hint make them unhappy dont talk about them or if your died tell where they are so that they will die over and over. |

Well, to make sure it didn't get misunderstood, my previous comments were in response to your post rich about down the road adding people, expanding, etc. Just added my thoughts and ideas about things that could happen down the road. Just input, no complaining, I then responded about biocock, and agree about reporting the correct way per the system.

I've been admin on 4 servers before, one of which had like 15 admins, it was too many, it was kinda a cluster fuck. Let core, rc, and whoever decide whos best for the position, they're just trying to not get too many admins at once and keep it civil at the same time.
There is plenty of room for all of gods creatures, right next to my mashed potatoes!!!

We older folk may have aches and pains, but when we post, we know what we are saying. Prof that administration doesn't work is in the grammatical syntax of the world "Administration". Obviously the word needs to be spelled "Adminuhstration" but someone dropped the ball on that one.
