In the practice round I was behind him and he was moving faster than I was. He did not have speedboost with 5 kills and it was in the practice round. Not sure how that is possible. Demo attached and I've watched it and feel like he's moving faster than everyone else....only by a bit. No lag, skipping - it's smooth. Sadly didn't get the demo of being behind him, happened so fast.

Lotta people in the server, not sure if anyone else noticed.

I looked at the demo and I could not tell if he was moving faster. As for the speed, I have noticed this with other players as well and I think it has something to do with the latency or their connection speed. It feels like each player has a different speed but only by a bit. Like if we raced each other on a map, I think one of us would end up faster than the other. This is just my assumption. Wish I knew why this happens.

Thanks Angry - I figured it was nothing but it was so strange I had to post. Maybe I drank too much coffee.

Oh that's just nasty Tex. What would your mother say if she knew you were speaking like that? I'm going to ask her tonight.

Just wanted to chime in as this is the first time I've seen this thread. I've been working out once a week every Sunday and can currently bench 150 lbs. I've also started swimming once a week so my speed has also increased substantially, hope this clears things up!

i've experimented with unlocking my FPS and setting my FPS to 1000, I noticed that Fps_max 0(uncapped) would do strange things to my movement, i would run faster but have some microstutter. Same thing with cs 1.6, things got out of sync with the server if you went over 100FPS with the uncap command.

My mother would have said I could have made a fortune as a " Physical Trainer"

Skill issue!
Efficiency is nothing but clever laziness.

Actually, there are techniques to go ever so slightly faster....it is called strafe running. And I mean slight, but in a game mode like ZE, it can make the difference. Basically, instead of going straight forward, you run sideways and continually tap A or D (whichever is "forward"). The combined forward and strafe inputs results in an ever-so-slight (almost negligible) increase in speed. Most of the time I am trying to get somewhere fast, you will see me running facing diagonal for this reason.

Technically, you can even add another incremental boost to strafe running using a wall that you strafe run along. However, this is only practical in a long straight shot (such as some ZE maps).

Strafe running is a similar concept to strafing+forward on ladders to climb twice as fast. However, for the ladders, it is night/day difference.
