Hey, i'm getting lot of lag on your servers. My ping is average over 100. Its usually 40. When i am on your cs:go server my ping is fine. It's just on your css servers. There is nothing running in the background or anything and when i play on any other server my ping is fine. I dunno what the problem is. |

Please post your trace route..
How to post...
Windows XP
Click the button on the bottom left called Start. Then click RUN. Then type cmd and click ok. Type "tracert -ip" REPLACE -ip with the ip of the server your having latency issues. Also don't include qoutes
Windows 7
Click start, then type cmd in the search bar. Follow the above instructions.
Take a screenshot of the traceroute.
Thanks.

I've been getting lag last couple weeks too. usually at 30 ping and been at 70 instead. also sometimes my ping shoots up to 300 or something randomly. Not the only one it's been happening to. |

There should be some improvement soon.
Limestone Networks has scheduled a maintenance window to perform network quality enhancement on several core network routers. We do not anticipate any substantial network outage as a result of this maintenance. The routers being maintained are configured as a redundant pair, and only one will be worked on at a time.
This maintenance window is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5th, 2014 from 12:00AM to 6:00AM CST. During this time clients may notice suboptimal routing or temporarily increased latency on certain paths. No servers are expected to lose power during the maintenance window. |

This is getting old. It's been going on for a while now and it still hasn't been fixed. Has Limestone even give a reason as to wtf is the problem?
Don't touch me there.

The latency should be better now, if you are still seeing an issue please let us know.

That is great and all but we see these issue almost every day. Is there any change it will ever get fixed? 1-2 minutes of high latency is enough to clear 100 players off our game servers, it really is unacceptable.

The last couple of days it has been very large NTP attacks, our engineers have been working on getting these blocked at our border so that they do not cause so much lag. We have also been proactively notifying our clients with old versions of the NTP servers to update their software.

Can you post WinMTR logs instead, also an approximate duration of the event. |
